3 Ways You Can Convert your Apartment Space into a Fitness Center

Living in your Maryland apartment now means you might have to make changes to your usual workout routine with all apartment fitness centers closing.

The Coronavirus pandemic has forced all of us to live much different lifestyles then we ever had before. With social distancing and quarantining as the new norms, we must adapt to prevent the spread of the virus. Living in your Maryland apartment now means you might have to make changes to your usual workout routine with all apartment fitness centers closing. You want to ensure that your routine will not disturb your neighbors, but you also want the impact of a solid workout. By using the proper exercises, you’ll get the challenge you wish to without having to worry about the neighbors or moving your furniture. Here are some of the best ways you can transform your apartment into your fitness center!

Squats

A classic part of any basic exercise routine is a squat. You don’t need to carry any weighs or use any equipment. Stand with your feet at about shoulder width and bend those knees. You want to keep your back straight and your knees way behind your toes. It will look similar to sitting in a chair, except you don’t have a chair behind your body. Push back into a standing position and try to repeat the process. This is one effective way of creating your own fitness center.

Push-Ups

Push-us are an excellent way to strengthen your arms. Begin with your hands flat on the floor and shoulder-width apart. Walk your feet back until you’re holding up your body on your hands and toes. Make sure your back is straight. You can also put your knees on the ground if you find the exercise a bit difficult. Lower your body towards the ground and hold it for one second before pushing back up into your starting position.

Sit-Ups and Crunches

Ab workouts are essential for any workout routine. For sit-ups or crunches, lie on the floor and move your feet until your legs are at a 45-degree angle. Support your head with your hands or consider placing your hands across your chest. Lift with your lower abs until your shoulder come off the floor. Lower your body all the way back to the floor. Sit-ups differ a bit since you want to bring your body back up into a sitting position.

Consider these easy do it yourself workouts to transform your own apartment living space into a fitness center!
