There are a ton of roommate finding services out there where you can put full profiles up and really find someone whose lifestyle pairs up well with yours. This will cut down on your costs significantly, allowing you to funnel money into your actual interests.
Cutting Cable Out
Not everyone needs cable as an entertainment source in their apartment! Monthly cable bills are expensive and prohibitive. There are alternatives such as Roku, Chromecast, and beyond, all powered by something like Netflix or Hulu. You can still get a lot of shows you want to watch, even without commercials, and have much more control over your viewing experience. It’s also far more expensive overall.
