Be Open to A Shorter – Or Even Longer – Lease
Since inventory is typically limited during the winter, you might have more options to pick from if you open your search a bit. Instead of sticking with the usual 12-month lease, see if there are more choices if you consider a nine or fifteen-month lease. If you’re up for a shorter lease cycle, you might open more listings.
Look in Nearby Neighborhoods
Open up your apartment rental search to nearby areas, as opposed to targeting your search to one specific neighborhood. If it isn’t super crucial that you stay in a city center, increasing the radius of your apartment search will yield more listing results to pick from. Try to see if there are any apartments available near a train, bus, or subway line for an easy commute.
